Combining images Superimposed images Date/Time: 2007:11:25 09:51:43 This rather strange story was spotted on a building in Bermondsey. The plaque was photographed at ground level, square on. I then adjusted its shape using the lens distortion correction tool to introduce distortion. Following that I used a marquee tool to cut out the image then superimposed it onto the picture taken looking up at the gargoyle.

Its not a very pretty picture, but its one of my first attempts to do stuff like this.

After converting to B&W I added a colour filter to warm the bricks up a little.
on parade Silent Contemplation Date/Time: 2007:11:11 10:43:41 This chap was part of a much larger picture I took at a Remembrance Day parade this year. I used the magnetic lasso tool to carefully create a mask around him which I then inverted. The resulting background was then blurred to create a much sharper depth of field than on the original shot. Using separate layers I created a black & while copy then selectively rubbed out pixels to reveal the colours in his medals & the poppy. I quite like it!
On the Thames Date/Time: 2007:11:25 13:59:00 Taken from the Thames ferry boat directly into the partially obscured sun. I've used Elements to adjust the colouring to something which is very unnatural for mid-day but which adds interest to the silhouette of the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.

The lens distortion was corrected to get Big Ben vertical.

Taken with my little S2 camera.
flag copy Not mine - somebody else's which I've experimented with .... Date/Time: 2007:11:29 23:33:40 Not mine - somebody else's which I've experimented with!

From the original - 1) straighten the building using the "correct camera distortion" filter. 2) Severe crop 3) cloned out the lamp post.

Just wanted to share the ideas with the owner of the picture!
