on parade

This chap was part of a much larger picture I took at a Remembrance Day parade this year. I used the magnetic lasso tool to carefully create a mask around him which I then inverted. The resulting background was then blurred to create a much sharper depth of field than on the original shot. Using separate layers I created a black & while copy then selectively rubbed out pixels to reveal the colours in his medals & the poppy. I quite like it!
