Stop & Go on the Orwell Bridge

An opportunistic moment while held up in traffic this morning. A very dull wet morning so ISO400 1/20th shutter speed, F14 to try to get the depth of focus, manual focus to avoid problems with the windscreen, and sit as still as possible to avoid camera shake! The idea was to contrast our stationary status with the traffic on the other side moving at speed. For something composed in an instant I'm reasonably pleased, could do a lot better though!

Well actually more of a whimper today! Fast shutter speed high sensitivity to try to catch the action.
Golden Wave

shutter speed chosen to blur the motion of the wave without loosing it altogether. The sunlight reflecting on the wave is what makes this picture IMHO.

Full sun on a building in London, captured with my S2. Challenging as I had to use preset settings. This was "Beach & Snow"

One side of this interestingly shaped building was in the full sun, the other side was in shadow, but had an interesting reflection. S2 set to "backlight" to get best effect here
